I purchased the LS-M last month.
I wanted to build it up myself.

First step was a reversing camera. Radio controlled, so minimal wiring.
Install the camera over the number plate so I can see the tow ball and beyond.Connect to reversing lights.
When you put the ute in reverse, camera comes on. Also has 6 LED lights that come on to add light.
Monitor just plugs into lighter plug. Nice 4 inch and in colour.

Next install side steps. See next post also as can only upload 3 photo's
Bought them on line from a popular "E" site. Delivered in 14 days to my door.
Cost $319.00, had to buy 6 more bolts (stainless steel) as wasn't included.
See results.
Very pleased with my work.
Chris

It's a very tidy job and looks stock. A lot cheaper than the 3 letter companies.

Also...nothing like the three letter companies. Totally different thing. These will cause a lot of damage to the cab if you happen to give them a decent wack. Three letter ones fit to the chassis and are more substantial materials and will protect the cab. That's what you pay for. Maybe they are a bit expensive but they are in no way the same product.

Yes, but, these are different side steps - not rock sliders

You are missing the point.
I'm not saying they are rock jumpers, and don't want rock jumpers.

In fact I will be towing a van on sealed roads and dirt roads.
I will also be putting my boat into the water at boat ramps.
My wife has shorter legs than me and these suit her fine getting in and out of the cabin.

There are members on this forum who will never use their vehicle in deep water, boggy mud or very rough terrain.
So all my build will be to suit our life style.
Chris

That's cool. My point was only that the price of yours can't be compared to ARB or TJM ones as they are chalk and cheese. Nothing more than that. Anyway, be careful if you do go off road, as I said a decent hit on these could cause a lot of damage. ARB and TJM side steps are also not rock sliders. They are again different things.

If you are happy just to replace your sidesteps have a look on Gumtree or even this site. Plenty of people dump the OEM side steps and I have seen them advertised for as low as $100 a set. Same goes for the Dmax alloy wheels. You just have to keep looking.
