Free Wheel Hubs in and done finally.
Used the Superwinch kit (same as AVM) even down to the part numbering. From Amazon is cost me $158 delivered. This part: Superwinch 400533 Hub-Isuzu Trooper I, II '87-92 for those interested.
It was quite an easy job in the end, actually taking longer to hole cut the wheel cap and file it out for a snug fit. Definitely improves those ordinary looking oem wheels on the Lsu. Spinning the wheel engaged (4x4) it spins about 5-6 times and when free (4x2) about 11-12 times when free, so much less drive-train drag should equate to some fuel savings too, I'm thinking.

Thanks to a few forum members from these threads, specifically danno, garjim and mydmax for there discussion posts.

Very slick looking machined hub, but sorry mate even a small improvement on those rims still leaves them in the "bloody awful" catagory.

Did you get the float spot on?

Thanks guys. Happy with how they came up. Danno and bravo, I got the spacers from Isuzu and garjim's extras beforehand, so had about 10 at my disposal. Got clearances at abt 0.14 and 0.17 from memory, forum advised between 0.1 and 0.2mm, so I am ok with that.

Next fairly major part of my build starts: CUSTOM REAR UTE DRAWERS
I have gathered great ideas from around the this forum and others, seen a few in use, researched google images and other manufacturers website too etc.
I finally decided DIY was do-able for me using the KISS method. Keeping in mind that cost, weight and remove-ability are important to me.
It will go hand-in-hand with 2nd Battery setup which I have put off finishing for far too long.
I used sketchup to bring the design together, bought the ply sheets and some hardware, so I am ready to go. 1st cut happened today!
Keep you all posted on progress here...wish me luck

I don't think you will need any luck. If you didn't have the confidence to do it you wouldn't have bought the materials already. Measure twice and cut once they say !!

Can see the drawers that go into the cabinets but what are the boxes behind them?
