Hi all I use a 2012 Dmax as my work ute and recently have been having a problem with the central locking. The car will lock itself randomly even with the keys in the ignition. It doesn't do it every time I get out but quite frequently. Its becoming a real pain carrying the spare key or leaving the window open.

At great risk of appearing to be Captain Obvious, It's not easier and less of a pain to remove the keys from the ignition to prevent having to carry the spare, or leave the window open? Mine locks itself too, but the key is only in whilst driving it.

Definitely not easier when I'm driving around site and getting in and out of the car dozens of times a day.Sooner or later I forget to take the keys out and then what happens?
I was actually asking if anyone knew of a solution to the problem.

Have you disconnected the irritating "keys in the ignition buzzer"? as in this thread viewtopic.php?f=13&t=346&hilit=buzzer by any chance?
