Apologies if this already been covered, i couldn't see anything specific when I searched.

I have a 2018 LS-M Auto, and was thinking of bringing the cables for accessories via a waterproof grommet fixed to the blanking plate for the clutch master cylinder, but I have concerns regarding heat from the DPF immediately behind this plate.

Has anybody routed cables through this location?
I felt the plate post regen, and it didn't seem to be too warm.

any thought would be appreciated.
Thanks

It is a good place to use. If concerned with Max temps near there you could always fit a small heat shield to protect the exiting wires.

[Update]

Ultimately I decided to not use the blanking plate for the clutch master cylinder for 2 reasons:
1. The factory loom and brake lines are routed up under the wiper sill well clear of the DPF - seems like a good idea to avoid the location too.
2. The wiring would have to cross the engine bay from the battery and aux fuse box.

Instead I came through the existing grommet for the main loom on the passenger side (behind the glove-box) and sealed with silicone.
