Flat battery, now fixed, but the radio won't work. It says
P--CODE
0000

I can enter numbers via the number buttons but obviously the wrong numbers, which results in
LOCK -- -- -- --

It's the poverty pack Clarion CX501A.

Where do I find the unlock code?
How to enter it?

The dealer says they've never heard of this needing a code, and an old post on this forum seems to confirm this.

Any ideas?

In the radio info with your vehicle it should have a card or code tag which shows the access code. If entered it should validate the number and open it.
I understand some vehicles used the last 4 of the vin. Maybe only Clarion has the code and contacting them may be the only way.

The dealer should have a record of all numbers pertaining to the vehicle. They have to be good for something after all.

I contacted IUA, and they said the answer is on P21-22 of the Clarion manual. Turns out I'd written the code on that page, small. Now I've written it big & red on the front page of the manual.
