Hey Folks,

In the next fortnight I am going to be installing diff locks front and rear.

Then the snowball effect kicks in...

Well if the diff is coming out I may as well install a diff drop kit, and diff breathers, fancy new diff, transmission and transfer case oils, whilst it's all apart I may as well chuck in free wheel hubs.

It quickly becomes an expensive rabbit hole.

Has anyone done something similar and if so, during the process did you replace your diff and wheel bearings?

I've been told its 50:50 whether you need / should replace the diff bearings in a car thats only got 50k on the clock :?

As for my wheel bearings, I hear a few people on the forums shocked to see how they were packed from the factory and with a 25,000km road trip coming up in September my proactive mind thought is doing it now as opposed whilst stuck in the middle of the Gibb River Road.

Final question, does anyone have the part numbers for front and rear wheel bearings and diffs to suit 2015 auto DMAX

you will need new side bearings for your diffs when fittting a locker as the chance of getting the old bearings off with out Damage will be slim, I’ve installed front and rear e lockers in mine and that’s what I found. Cheers
