I was told that the BT50 oil pump won't pick up the oil after an oil change which could be disastrous for the donk. Is there any tricks / tips with the colorado or is it all old school straight forward?
Newby to Colorado ownership but always maintained my cars.

Thats only an issue on rangers nowadays, Mazda fixed that issue on their motors with a new front case a couple years back.

Only thing you need to be cautious about your 2.8L is oil consumption, they are known to be burners.

Thanks Mat713
Thankfully she has only used about 1/2 ltr on a non stop across Oz trip 3916 ks in 39 driving hours Newcastle to Perth. Loved it.
It's got bigger wheels 265 75 x 16 and the heaviest toughdog suspension, so it really handled much better than standard.
