These look new but was wondering if anybody has fitted one? Photo is of a MUX but brochure says it fits a Dmax also and it looks like it would.

Won't fit the Dmax , don't think I would be crazy about the extra 80kg behind the rear axle anyway .

Why won't it fit? The photo looks like it would.

But you make a good point about it being behind the rear axle.

That goes where your spare tyre belongs on the D-Max, so you'd also need to allow for that.

Looks like our leaf springs would get in the way

Spare tyre stays put mate, you can see the chain hanging down, it just lowers the tyre a bit (or a lot) but as pointed out our rear spring hangers would get in the way of that one but if my sketchy memory serves then someone actually does one for the dual cab and I wouldn't worry about the 80kg if I wasn't towing, no worse than having someone sit right up the back.

In the back seat you mean Danno at least that's in front of the axle ,
Dual cabs everything in the Tub / Tray is behind the axle , you still can stack just as much junk in the back plus a extra 80Kg right at the back underneath , in front of the rear axle has to be a better idea for extra fuel if you really need a big tank .

Many years ago I had a MQ Patrol I had a 145lt tank made for it that went where the spare wheel was under the rear , relocated the spare to inside , bloody thing was a big flotation / buoyancy tank it caused me grief in a few deep river crossing .

No I mean right up the back like a troopy or a 3rd row in a wagon, you have about a 300kg tow ball weight allowance in these cars why would 80kg behind the axle be of concern if you're not towing?? Of course a bigger tank in the correct position would be preferable but there must be a market for them.

Anyway gotta go I'm about to be part of a new event up here we're calling "Debbie does Townsville" apparently a 260km/h blowie is on the cards... although chasing my undies drawer down the road at warp 4 is strangely unappealing....
