They changed from old shape to new shape in 2012, so is yours the same basic shape as new models or the old shape? The fuel systems are quite different between the two, but same same after the 2012 change.
There still might be some tank shape changes between the 2012 new shape and 2018. not sure of details there.

Think there is a difference between tanks to suit a manual compared to an auto transmissions. Not sure

If it's the current shape DMax from 6?/12 onwards the Long Ranger will fit auto or manual no difference but I assume because you have posted in this 2007 - 2012 forum that it is the older shape and they are very different underneath so it's highly unlikely to fit. A call to LR would confirm that.

Thanks everyone, it appears that my LR tank is only compatible with 2007-2012 models, mine is before the new 2012 shape, so same as 2011. I can remove it and refit the old original as nothing was altered to make it fit.
Just trying to work out if I can recover some money if I sell some bits if I upgrade to a newer model as the accessories I've fitted don't increase resale value. Great ute, just should have looked into the crystal ball a bit and bought an auto instead of manual.

The earlier models have an electric pump in the tank. Later ones don't.
