Hi Guys,
Can anyone tell me if they have removed their cup holder,my drivers side one seems to be very hard to pull out to the point that I have to use both hands at times.

To the best of my knowledge I have not had anything spill in there,to cause it to stick, so if I could take it out completely and see whats going on inside.

I have used LANOX to try and fix the problem but it is still as hard all hell to pull out .

Many thanks to any replies

I think this is what you mean.... pull the sliding cup holder as far as it will come forward and on top you will see 2 white tabs, fiddle with a screwdriver till it pops out, I'm pretty sure once you have that out you'll find the tabs to pull the whole unit, if you need to.

Hi Danno,
Thanks for the reply, I tried your suggestion but no luck, there seems to be something else that hold the tray in if you depress those 2 white tabs that you mentioned.

If you depress both white tabs at the same time so they should pass under that ridge, that is there you still can not get the top part of that tray out. :(

I also found that there was a white tab that you could move to the left underneath the tray and thought that I had found the answer, but for the life of me I can't see that it makes any difference.

So for now I guess I will have to live with it until my first service and try to get the dealer to fix it.

Regards

Mine popped straight out mate, you've got to pull upwards at the same time.

Remove change tray and shine a light upwards . You will see 2 tabs that have to be pushed upwards in 2 stages and it will pull out .
You do have to be somewhat of a contortionist to hold the torch while using a tool to push the tabs up ,but it's doable .
