Re: DMAX shake/wobble/surge under low RPM
Yes, that is correct, and it should improve the rea uni angle and proportionately the front too. If you can get them to be around 2 or under then the uni action under higher torque won't try and fling the rear of the gearbox around in a circle. Only thing is, the spring design may not keep the angle...

Re: DMAX shake/wobble/surge under low RPM
That seems worse than before. You can't do it on a computer!
Are you fitting the wedges with the thick end at the REAR of the spring seat? If you do it HAS to make it better.

Re: DMAX shake/wobble/surge under low RPM
I don't know the angle the of your correction wedges but I would be fitting them with the thick end to the rear of the spring seat, That will bring the pinion flange up a little and therefore reducing both the rear uni more than the front uni and largely go towards having just a little of angle on b...

Re: DMAX shake/wobble/surge under low RPM
G'day ian Yes that is what I am asking. Those angle are sort of ok but how much do they alter when loaded? If the spring distortion under load increases the rear angle and also the front angle to some extent, then they are going away from each other and beginning to introduce vibes. Does the load ma...

MtnMan If you haven't got a code reader which can cancel codes. I would disconnect NEGATIVE of battery and wait a while before reconnecting. Radio code might be cancelled though. Also when the battery negative cable is disconnected if you connect a small globe, even a 240v globe for ease of touching...

Re: Online Tech company
G'day Danno Velly Velly good work, give 'em Curry, so to speak. You doing your bit makes them "no more there", Luvvit. 'No more there, I learned from my Indian Maths teachers who never explained much, but said when denominators cancelled out something, it was "no more there". I probably still don't ...

How will a mechanic know any more than an observant/aware person? A mechanic would have to check the positions of mounts the same as a normal person would have to do!

Re: DMAX shake/wobble/surge under low RPM
All sounds lovely, but what is the angle the unis are actually driving through. That is the decider. Their evenness just should be! Also. Have you checked your engine mounts. Ie, jacked up the LHS of the engine to see if the engine mount is stuffed. That will give you vibes and shudders under load. ...

Re: DMAX shake/wobble/surge under low RPM
ENC You have to have taken the wedge shims out to do the final check to now say to is ok. IF now ok, then the angles must have been way out and different to each other with the wedges installed. When you say "IT", does that mean one only universal, or is the other uni included in the "within half a ...

G'day Mitchell
I own a 2011 DC LSM and haven't noticed any differences from the 2010 model. Same same as far as I know! Canopies for that earlier series Rodeo, the Oldhen variety, and Dmax from '09 all fit the same tub.
