Re: Scangauge 2

TW
They work in my 2011. Commonly use coolant temp, turbo boost, road speed which is accurate with std tyres, voltage of charge system and cycle through as required with other functions. If you have an auto you can get the code info to read autotrans temp too.

Re: 2020 D Max Steering is dangerous

Punter Given the situations experienced and described thus far, if they have read and understood the book and are driving to avoid a parked car on a narrower road and approach the centre white line to avoid parked car and then have the system steer them away from line and towards the parked vehicle,...

Re: 2020 D Max Steering is dangerous

I have been in touch with the National Recall System. If drivers of these vehicles want some action and rectification of the issues, then make a direct approach to the national recall manager. To do this you access this net address and fill out the form so the national manager assigned to such issue...

Re: 2020 D Max Steering is dangerous

Neum0 Thanks for confirming the issue that someone says doesn't exist. As you posted I was just tallying up the totals on this site of, it is A GOOD THING, to the score of those who say it is dangerous and don't want it in the current form or ability, ie, the BAD, DON'T WANT IT". So far that is 10 :...

Re: Does intercooler need internal clean?

Wayne Most likely with heavy towing the boost and airspeed through the intercooler is above normal flow and therefore will force any free residual oil in the IC into the engine and cause smoke. If the aircleaner is dirty and restrictive the engine may also overfuel a bit in such circumstances. The c...

Re: Does intercooler need internal clean?

Strange isn't it? Isuzu fit oil catching and service those systems in their 4JJ1 trucks but leave it off in the ute engines so the intake immediately starts to clag with gunk up after purchase. Not surprised an Isuzu ute dealer has no knowledge of them. They don't know plenty of other things either ...

Re: Does intercooler need internal clean?

Danno.
I presumed it is the ones which are fitted to Isuzu engined machinery. Haven't seen one but read comments about them and they are fitted OE to some machinery.

Re: Does intercooler need internal clean?

rwally I am probably a bit biased here but I will not use Shell or Castrol engine oils. Plenty do though.Just personal preference from my experiences. Definitely no Valvoline either. Hard to prove but I prefer Mobil Delvac, some don't, and have seen it work well in all machinery in a previous job. A...

Re: Does intercooler need internal clean?

Just having a restrictor plate after the EGR does reduce the severity of any goo making. If any oil mist doesn't get to a critical cooking temp to make it glug then it all goes through as per normal. The clean has probably reduced the intake port restriction and that you will notice. The turbo boost...

Re: Does intercooler need internal clean?

rwally You can remove and wash any oil out the intercooler with solvent but it is normal to have some oily fumes through it. Unless it is heavily stained and visibly contaminated the normal turbo flow will simply blow any condensed oil through it. If cleaned it will be like it again shortly! If you ...
