Re: A new head unit
My Clarion finally carked it so I replaced it with this one - Eonon 10.1 Inch Android 10 Universal Double Din Car Stereo with Octa-core processor and 3GB RAM - Q03PRO . Looks great Bob, but what a pain in the butt with what you have to go through. Mine doesn't have a CANBUS being a '13 model. That ...

Re: A new head unit
Thanks for the comprehensive review. I was going to install Hema maps, but at $99 I thought I'd read the reviews, which are generally terrible. What's your experience? For my purposes, I want offline road & topo maps that I can record tracks onto, and import tracks from other sources. Avenza does t...

A new head unit
I fitted a new head unit to replace my '13 factory job. Bought it from https://vhedia.com.au/ - Perth company, no affiliation. It's an actual Android 9 inch tablet, that runs Apple Car Play and Android Auto, in both wired and wireless and Bluetooth for phone and music. Being an actual tablet, you ca...

Re: Can you "factory reset" the stereo?
OMG, 6 years later and I am replying to my thread.
Disconnecting the battery did the trick, my tunes started to play again in the correct order.
I know you have all been hanging out to hear that
Last weekend I fitted a new head unit. I will post a new thread. It's a ripper!

Re: EGR disable - electronic solution?
My cable has been fitted for 3 years now. The temperature according to my Ultra Gauge 2, is on 86 degrees or so - day in, day out. Temp does go up higher of course, and the highest I saw it was 94 degrees when towing a heavy trailer on highway speeds into QLD late last year in Summer. The cable make...

Re: ArchM suspension
Just go onto ebay and search for seller ArchM.
The link I posted is no longer valid, it was from 4 years ago.
My suspension lift kit is still going strong, zero issues. Happy to recommend this seller.

Re: Servicing shenanigans
Aussie I haven't made a study of codes, but you can search for codes used by Isuzu and print them. The code prefix letter and number, if registered and read by a scan device, can be found in the print list and it points you to the system which may be the issue. It isn't necessarily definitive but i...

Re: Servicing shenanigans
I always carry a printed copy of codes and use it to refer to if / when I need to diagnose a reason for limp mode. Had to use it twice so far when the turbo control chamber hose dropped off and on a low atmospheric day and with a 3" exhaust there was not enough EGR flow. Scangauge cleared both. A w...

Re: Servicing shenanigans
I had a play with my Ultra Gauge 2 today. Changed some of the display settings and reconfigured the stats to display. It had stored the code U0001. Which as far as I can tell means some sort of comms lost to the ECU? https://www.obd-codes.com/u0001 - an example of one site explaining the code. I am ...
