Re: Bash plates

Got a quote a year ago was over $2k for a set :0 I have the phat bars 5mm steel bash plates on, took them off my old dmax. Solid as but they don't make a plate to cover the transmissio...

Re: Diesel fuel containers.

I run 2 x45L dieseil poly tanks in the canopy. Yellow ones.
Gravity feed into the fuel filler neck, not connected when not in use. Just like filling up at the pump.
Takes a few minutes to put 1 tank into the car. Simple setup, no lifing heavy jerrys.
Gives me 150-160L of useable fuel for longer trips.

Re: Flipping the hitch on genuine Isuzu towbar

A supension upgrade gives the towball a good height. I belive their is an ADR that covers how high a 50mm tow ball can be, this is why the reciver hitch hangs down under the tow bar. But dosen't cover any other towing setups, like DO35, tregg hitches etc. It depends every trailer is diffrent, depeni...

Re: Mercedes X Class Ute

After driving a vito van for 4 months I wouldn't buy one. Was in the dealership for a week getting the DPF replaced with only 110,000km on the clock. Turbo lag was shocking on the thing

Re: Aftermarket Upper Control Arms - Which One & Why

I have 40mm of the lift in the front. Measured by a NSW engineer.
They couldn't get my camber back after the lift. I have aftermarket UCA's in.
The middle type on your list. Prob done 10-15,000km on them. Seem to be going ok and tyre wear is even now.
With the factory UCA I had pretty bad camber wear.

Re: Dmax LS-M suspension upgrade please help

If you are towing a camper trailer (ball weight 100-200kg) similar to a small caravan plus all the family kinda gear the LSM is the better of the two. But upgrading to a 250-300kg constant load leaf or even a 0-300kg if you have the ute empty, would be a better choice. What are you going to be carry...
