Same thing happened to me so I got a basic key cut and hid it on the out side of the D-max it will let you in but not start the car. What my problem was as I opened the door from the inside I would bump the lock shut and when the door closed it would remain locked. First time it was 5.30 am and I had to get the trouble and strife out of bed grab the spare key and drive 11 klms to where I worked (not happy) but the car was still running and diesel was approx $1.60/ltr at the time

Keep the topics together please fellas, there's already one running on this topic about disconnecting beepers and random door locking.

Took the car in for it's 3k check up today...asked about the key beeper and whether or not there was a "button sequence" or some such to turn it off.
Short answer - NO. :(

Hi Folks!

As i'm also really annoyed by this beeping, i've tried to follow Simon's instruction.

I disconnected the plug, but i can't find any plug with only two wires.

Perhaps the german version is different?

That's it mate, just pull that plug apart, ignore the two wires thing.

Thank you for the fast reply DB.

Not to get you wrong, because my english maybe a bit rusted.

I just pull out the plug and that's it.

And this will only have an effect on the beeping?

In our models it also makes the interior dome light stay on a bit longer

Wasn't there something about the headlight warning bell also attached to this?
