Disabling the Auto Power Window

Post by Mark »

How do I disable the Auto function on the driver's side power window?
I want to be able to open the window just a few inches easily

I just give it a short sharp press, some times it works, sometimes it doesn't.

It is annoying but I would rather put up with it rather than not having the auto function.

Mark.
I presume the operation is same as previous shape Dmax. My 2011 has 2, yes two operational ways of working. If you Push down or pull up Firmly, it enters full cycle mode and goes full extent where it is switched off at the end by an inbuikt electronic cutoff system. However, if you "GENTLY" Pull up and lightly hold it there OR Push down gently and hold it there, both until it begins operating, the window can be controlled EASILY at any time. Give it a try! You may be simply overriding it and bypassing the manual mode.
