Only flatties!! It was certainly a great healthy specimen and was still 13cm short of the Mallacoota one!!
I also had a few pics of Army track and the toys but it would have been embarrassing to post them...it dead set looked like any old dirt track with a little bit of a slope. :(

jacko will have to do it....I deleted all mine...only had 3 anyway. There must be a knack to taking a good photo that shows an incline. Mine were hopeless.

There is and I thought Jacko might know the trick, I know how but unfortunately the missus does not and it'd be a cold day in hell that I'd let her drive up something impressive enough for me to take a pic, the main mistake people make is that they get behind or in front of the car and point the camera up or down directly towards the car effectively flattening the track, try it more from side on and use trees etc in the background to show the angle and remember it always looks worse than it is from inside the vehicle... unless of course it's the Bloomfield track where it is as bad as it looks

The only photos I took were around camp , I have put a few up in the Trip Report Section below , I shot mostly video this trip . I know how to get off the side to show the steepness of the track but you really need to get back a bit but the problem around here is to much stuff in the way , trees , scrub , rocks ect .

I'm still processing the videos , don't want to make em to long and it can take more than 2 hours to upload even a short video to YouTube .
Stay tuned .

do this. Builders level on tripod.
21 degrees. People look up this and say 40, 50 degrees, clench their teeth, fingers & bum muscles. They always look steeper than they are.

A section of the Bloomfield track in the Daintree is 30 degrees and your body weight is actually taken by the backrest of your seat rather than the base, and for the record a Dmax does not have the required grunt to pull a camper trailer up it in anything but 1st low but because the road is concrete, twisty and about 1.5km long you'll need free wheel hubs to do it and tough seat covers lest you tear them with your bum cheeks...
