Hello From ECUWEST

Post by ECUWEST »

Hey Everyone,

Just like to say hello and introduce myself and the ECUWEST Team. Im happy to answer your questions (or attempt to..) with regards to tuning your diesel D-Max's and Colorado's
We have good experience with all Transtron equipped Isuzu's and both the Isuzu and VM powered Colorado's.

I've just come back from training with Europe's best diesel tuners at Alientech's HQ in Trino Italy, ensuring our Aussie spec'd D-max's and Colorado's are supported with the latest and up to date tune file definitions.

Cheers.

Hello ECUWEST!

Let us know what sort of magic you can weave with the D-Max engine, and how it takes place!

Hey Mate,

The Dmax is great to tune as they are all possible to do through the OBD port, we have dealers all around the country who can do this for you. We are seeing torque and power gains of around 25% at the rear wheels.

Let me know if you have any other questions

Ha! Time will tell if Rangers are better or not - ours has 10000k's on it now and hasnt had anything go wrong yet.

In terms of tuning the Dmax, like most other diesels, we edit boost maps, fuel injection quantity & timing and torque limiting maps (most important) - about 12 maps in all are modified

Darren

Could you maybe give us a summary as to why remapping is better than fitting a chip per say

Hi EcuWest.
Seems like good value. How does it affect warranty? Can you also explain the difference between factory torque figures (~380nm) and those on your dyno results (~500-700nm)? Thanks.
