Anyone have any pics of where they mounted their scanguage ? on a new model dmax.
Got mine in the mail today. Seen a few guys put them on the steering column but blocks to speedo and display.
Was thinking on the dash but up close to the windscreen, next to the little speaker. Just worried about UV damage and the heat.

Can't find a better spot than this for me, just scroll down a bit http://www.newd-max.net/viewtopic.php?f ... auge#p7443 it's velcroed on and can be moved back and forth and no it it won't hit your knee when you get in and out even fully extended.

Scan guage is a bit wider. Hits the dash when its hard against the door.
Had a reverse screen in full sunlight for 5 years and its fine, so will just put it on the dash. see how it goes.

Mine has velcro and sits on the top of the dash mat. I would think that these are designed with sunlight protection as many people would mount them similarly.

I put mine in front of the gearshift. That useless little cubby hole was good for nothing.

I put it on top of the dash, still okay after a 40 plus day in the sun yesterday. Don't have to look down to check my speed now.

My Ultragauge is on a windscreen mount, but sits well forward on the dash. I sit my cap on it so it never gets any sun and I don't have to contend with glare on the screen. In this position it's right in my line of sight without obstructing anything.

Did you get that to work with your transmission?

Hi Danno,

Yep, the 58 at the top left is ATF temp. I'm working through a range of different parameters I can track, by taking the ScanGauge codes and translating them to UltraGauge. I'll publish a spreadsheet when I have it all worked out.

On the page on the picture above, I have ATF Temp, Kph, Engine Temp, Volts to ECU, KM from Service and KM from Oil Change.

The UltraGauge MX is a great unit and has 7 or 8 (can't remember which) programmable gauges, along with the usual plethora of standard stuff. I'm still getting my head around most of it! :ugeek:

Cheers
Geoff
