Snow plough attachment

Post by Wardys »

Hi guys, can any one help? I need to attach a snow plough on my 2018 blade, has anyone any plans to make a receiver that bolts onto the front chassis? The plough is a 1.8m Schmidt that weighs 210kg.
Would like not to have to cut the bumper. I have seen the winch plates that fit behind the bottom grill but would like to fit something that drops from the chassis down and under the front bumper. Thanks

Can't say I have seen this done, are you concerned about airbag sensors being activated? It is 38• here so know nothing about ploughing. I would think it would need to mount like a bull bar on both rails but would be concerned over the electricory of the Max. Make sure you post photos if it goes ahead.

I personally would be interested in seeing the effects of slinging 210kg off the front of a Dmax....

Yes, it would be interesting, given that weight is more than 4 bulllbars and if mounted out front it will effectively be more. Coil over coils on the front anyone?
Perhaps it has caster wheels to hold the weight and only attached to a Dmax so it can skid the snow off. If mounted fairly solidly and one side meets a restriction, the chassis would instantly become a parallelogram in places.
