Just asking because I haven't posted pics for quite a while.
Why do you have to use a 3rd party site to hold pics to post on this site?
All I have done in the past is to place it in the site thread and it is in the post.

Has the system changed? Do you have to post pics via another path?

Nothings changed you can still post pics as normal, using a 3rd party site is useful for those of us that post a lot of pics in build threads and so on and it allows you to post more than 3 pics per post (the limit when uploading to the site itself) and control the size better and doesn't take up server space.

This has come to light because Photobucket has recently decided to try and commit commercial suicide by charging 400 bucks per year if you want to post your uploaded pics on forums and the like.

The handy thing with Imgur, you can resize your pictures in a forum without actually resizing them!

If the image looks too big, you just add another character to the end of the filename.

So, lets say your filename is xxxxx.jpg

To make it medium sized, add the letter M to the end of your filename eg xxxxxm.jpg

To make it large sized, add the letter L to the end of your filename eg xxxxxl.jpg

To make it huge sized, add the letter H to the end of your filename eg xxxxxh.jpg

I wonder if Imgur will end up deciding to charge, the same as Photophucket?

Will depend on how successful PB is with this little stunt which I would say is failing right now owing to the fact that there is still free alternatives.
With the amount of advertising that PB hits you with when you go to their site to look at pics I'm surprised they felt they needed to try and commit commercial suicide with this. Personally I hope they wither and die...

But like that we have archives you don't think. It's a way of keeping a certain amount of traceability.
